Catlink Receiver Heads Installation

Leaded receiver heads are installed by plugging into a RJ45 socket that is connected via the cable network to the distribution hub. Leaded receiver heads are supplied with self adhesive velcro dots which allow non-obtrusive attachment to a fixed object such as to the side of a shelf or TV.
NOTE: Ensure the surfaces are clean and dry before applying velcro dots. It suggested the surfaces are wiped with alcohol before application of velcro dots.
Other mounting methods include VHB tape and some installers unscrew the top lid of the receiver head, screw this on the item to be attached to then reattach the head to the lid.

Insert receiver heads are normally mounted in the wall or ceiling and connect to the network via two wires screwed to the rear connector. See a typical insert receiver head installation note for more details.

The IR sensitive area which receives the infrared control commands is on the same face as the LED. If the LED blinks then the Receiver head is receiving signals.

All ControlPlus receiver heads are rated 'sunlight friendly' and can operate in high brightness conditions including direct sunlight.

All ControlPlus receiver heads are generally rated compatible with Plasma and LCD panels.

Loss of operating range can be experienced if the Receiver Head is placed in very high brightness or direct sunlight conditions or areas of high electrical interference. Some televisions/panels emit excessive amounts of radio frequency interference that can also cause the receiver head to reduce operating range. Try moving the receiver head away from the panel if operating range is a problem.
